A Seussy Celebration with Dr. Seuss and Friends

This weekend starts the Read Across America campaign.

Every year in our homeschool we celebrate all things Seuss!  We read more books, than I can count, in the month of March!  Lots of snuggles in bed, sitting by the window letting the sun warm our faces while we get lost into the words of the famous doctor.

I love to get the children all excited about reading. So of course, I decorate our school room (aka the dining room) to get everyone in the mood.

You won't find any sweets at this party table.  Books, bookmarks, pencils and fun themed reusable cups are what the children will receive.

I found these bookmarks at Teachers Pay Teachers.  as a FREE Download HERE. I printed and laminated then just cut them to size. The pencils I found at Michael s craft store last year and I saved for now.

This is a new prop I made this year. Using my Silhouette SD machine. I cut these arrows and stuck them to the empty wrapping paper roll from the polka dot paper. (reuse and recycle says The Lorax!)

I found some Dr. Seuss books at our local library that we have NEVER Read!  We also own a lot ourselves.  The kids have already taken these off the chair and sitting on the floor flipping the pages.

I can't wait to start on Monday!

We will watch Dr. Seuss movies, make Seuss themed crafts and make some fun healthy Seuss themed snacks!

Do you celebrate with your children?

I invite you to follow my Dr. Seuss Pinterest Board for a ton more ideas for your celebration!

Until next time - Party On Friends!
